Jesus promises to give you three things when you look to Him: peace, joy, and life.
- Peace: The peace Jesus promises is a calmness brought about through a confident relationship with God. True peace despite your circumstances. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.” – Jesus (in John 14:27)
- Joy: True joy is a deep satisfaction and hope Jesus can bring in your life as you follow Him, regardless of your past, regardless of your struggles, regardless of the chaos in your life. “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.” – Jesus (in John 15:11)
- Life: Jesus promises a life with purpose and contentment when we look to Him. “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” – Jesus (in John 10:10)
You’ve tried to live your life your own way. Maybe it’s time to give Jesus a try? If this is the desire of your heart, we encourage you to do two things:
- Say a prayer to God, something like “Jesus, I”ve tried living my life on my own, and it”s only led to frustration. I need help. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I ask you to come into my life and lead me. I desire to follow you. In Jesus” name, Amen.”
